There’s a primal connection we share with our children that can’t be put into words.

The feeling of having them growing inside us, sharing our body and claiming our space. Feeding them beyond the womb, a connection of souls as natural as breathing. A primal desperation to protect. A raw yearning to be close to them, even as we hold them.  My maternity and motherhood photography isn’t about hiding stretch marks or covertly breastfeeding in-between shots. It’s about empowering you, lifting you up, and celebrating your motherhood in all its natural beauty. You’re creating life. You love unconditionally. You are a miracle. And you deserve to be captured as the goddess you are.

My family photoshoots are as much about the experience as they are the photos. We’ll go for an adventure together, on a windswept beach or into the long grass of a golden field.

Children in their element, exploring the world. Time spent together with nothing to think about but each other. Or if you’d prefer, I can come visit you at home. A favourite toy, a well-worn sofa, walls imbued with love and memories. 

Wherever it may be, I want you to leave our session feeling your connection as a family deeper than ever. Warmed by the experience and bonded in the love you share. I want to give you family photography that goes beyond the superficial. Beautiful, soulful art, that paints a picture of that perfect little world to which only you have the keys.

NEWBORN

The newborn stage of your baby’s life is fleeting, fragile and precious. The flood of emotions, the exhaustion, the elation, the overwhelming love, the desperate need to nurture and protect. It only lasts a few weeks, but within this pinprick is a universe. 

My at-home newborn photo shoots are designed to be as relaxing and natural as possible. You don’t need to tidy the house, get dressed up or worry about putting on a show for me. I want to capture your perfect little world just as it is. To give you some time to relax, focus on that life-affirming connection with your child, and breathe it all in. I’ll give you some gentle guidance, move things around if I need to, and work quietly to create beautiful, soulful images that will be art in their own right. But most of all I want to capture the moments of quiet. When your souls are at peace and your connection is at its deepest.

The wind hits your faces as the car doors close. You stroll together along a sandy path and onto a beach. The sound of waves and seagulls.

The sun climbing, the world falling away. Nothing but the two of you, the sea, and little old me.

Time set aside to focus solely on each other, to clear your mind of everything else and just be.
